Routine vital signs monitoring

If we notice a significant change, we follow the centre’s care procedure and contact the family so further medical assessment can be arranged.
Going with residents to their appointments
We help residents get ready for and travel to scheduled clinic or hospital appointments. Staff go with them and stay to help through the wait for the consultation. For residents with limited mobility or using a wheelchair we pay particular attention to their safety and needs — so that families who cannot take the time off work can feel more at ease.

2. We discuss the arrangement
- We go through the daily care needed and explain what we can provide.
3. Visit and admission
- You are welcome to visit the centre, then we confirm a suitable admission arrangement.
Questions about our nursing care
Do you provide Ryle Tube / nasogastric feeding care?
Yes. We provide daily tube feeding and related observation for residents who require nasogastric feeding.
Do you care for residents with dementia or memory decline?
We assess each resident individually. Our approach is a settled routine, companionship and close daily safety observation.
Do you provide post-hospital or post-surgery care?
Yes. Contact us to discuss short-term or longer-term arrangements for residents recovering after discharge or surgery.
Do you provide wound care?
We provide daily observation and dressing for general wounds, diabetic wounds and pressure sores. More complex medical situations are referred to the family's doctor or a medical facility.
Do you monitor residents' vital signs?
Depending on care needs, we monitor and record blood pressure, blood glucose, temperature, heart rate and blood oxygen saturation.
